Greaseproof paper

  • Greaseproof paper is paper that is impervious to oil or grease and is normally used in cooking or food packaging.
  • In its production, the thinning process of the paper is applied and therefore it has a surface with very low porosity. Thanks to this feature, it is resistant to oil.
  • It can be used in fatty food packaging and under tray.
  • It is used for serving fatty foods for an aesthetic presentation.
  • Greaseproof Paper and baking paper are quite different from each other. Greaseproof paper is oil proof; baking paper is a silicone-coated paper and can therefore resistant to heat up to  230 degrees.
